Can also do this on Netflix (and maybe other services) with the "Video Speed Controller" Chrome extension.
About the first thing I do when using Chrome on a new machine is install this - such a great extension! I don't feel like speeding up movies really changes the effect too much, though you get less aggregate "experience" Also: you can dig into the page to change speed, worthwhile if you're going to spend >10mintues watching (document.getElementsByTagName('video')[0].playbackRate=3)

I also have the opinion that people should feel free to change the speed at which they listen to music to match their personal preference, and do this semi-regularly (~25% of songs have the wrong default tempo IMO)
