(Almost) anything else can be fixed afterwards with money.
I used to operate on exactly that plan (+ computer + power + phone + charger). I'm much happier about travel with a good checklist.

I can keep that short list in my head as a mantra - and check the inventory every 5 minutes when stressing. Natch there is a longer list, life is full of lists, but that critical short one stops my head exploding and actually being refused travel!
