How do you remember to look at the list?
-
Hah! It's on the wall, hard to miss.

It's funny, but it really reduces anxiety. I moved recently (within SF), and haven't put it up on the wall yet. And when I just travelled, I left the house with that lingering feeling I forgot something.

Same. Except I use a digital checklist for travel, in my reminders app. (One time, though, I experienced a freak bug and my reminders app invited my coworkers to the various items to pack… as events. It was both hilarious and super embarrassing.)

That's a great story. "May-Li has invited you to toothbrush at 4pm on the 7th. Attend? Decline?"

Not quite "checklists", but I make lists of ideas I think I could write a nice paper about. It's amazing how often I completely forget these ideas until I look back at the lists! I have two of these lists sitting on my desk now.

I've occasionally done this (though not systematically), and have noticed the same thing: it's amazing how many good ideas I forget.
