      Very specific: I = 1/P where I is the information content/the relevance (of a signal/event) and P is the probabilty of the signal/event. Saw it at several lectures at university and love it as it applies almost to every problem.

      A bit embarrassing bc I'm so late to both parties! One was new topologies for thinking - via @worrydream, @michael_nielsen. Something I'd been pondering abt for long, just much higher level; trying to grasp. Other was re: surprisal. Both helped me think abt my work differently!
