On "value != popularity": you're often getting near interesting boundaries when your ideas become illegible. In this sense, unpopularity can be a positive signal. That’s actually exactly how I think about it! I expect some of my friends who are less enthusiastic about Twitter may laugh at me. No matter how Twitter responds to my ideas, I assume it is a useful signal for me. Hence tweeting all the time
