Interesting, very. Out of curiosity what does Vygotsky bring to the table for you?
Thanks. Vygotsky: many things, but in particular a clear realization that the external objects and representations we're exposed to change the way we think. An aeronautical engineer who has studied stealth will think v. differently to one who has not. Etc.

Vygotsky, of course, wasn't the first to realize this! But I found his discussion of this and related issues stimulating.
