In which cities/neighborhoods would you feel comfortable leaving your laptop on a café table while using the restroom?

I left a new iPad on table at McDonalds in 3rd biggest train station in Japan for 30 minutes at rush hour. Neither iPad nor table taken.
I dropped 65 dollars cash on a very busy sidewalk in Brisbane once. Came back 10 mins later, picked it up as other people walked past.

@Sivers once told me an anecdote about Iceland. A group departing a restaurant table left an iPhone behind. When Derek noted this, his Icelandic companion remarked, “That means they’re coming back.” -
What a great story. To be clear, I think I was just lucky in Brisbane, not that Brisbaneites are extraordinarily honest. But maybe I underrate my hometown.
