Meta-threads are cool, but have you considered metadata Quote Tweets? This way, you can have similar meta-threads but can add, delete from, & re-order the content threads just by rearranging metadata Quote Tweets & share via a twitter search link. Nice idea, but the UI is a little too obscure. Wish Twitter supported it a bit better natively!

True. There's no sorting in the search params, & while you can set the SERP link to sort by latest, it doesn't work everywhere TweetDeck at least sorts by latest when running searches within it.
