Amazing play! Saw the original cast in London shortly after it opened. In what sense do you mean Bohr's relationship with the Nazis was complicated? He was Jewish, fled for his life from the Nazis, & (arguably) helped save the life of many other Jews by helping them flee.
In the play, my sense - I may be wrong! - was that he was essentially trying to dissuade his German friend Heisenberg from collaborating with the Nazis, while knowing that ultimately he had no power to stop him. Did you have a different sense?

Yes that's what I got from the play too. ( Recent production with Indian cast, in Bangalore, India). A very nice play indeed.
