Everyone's saying Vancouver but that's ridiculous. You said you wanted "Toronto but warmer", not "Toronto but warmer and more progressive, with mountains, oceans, and forests instead of endless suburbs, and closer to San Francisco".

I’ve lived in both and the answer is not Vancouver. Probably Sydney.
Yup. (Lived in Toronto, visited Sydney often.) Melbourne is a pretty good analogue, too.

I’ve only lived in Vancouver, which has excellent (possibly unparalleled) access to nature. But based on visits to both Sydney and Melbourne I’d say they have more ‘urban lifestyle.’ Larger populations too.
