If you can't get information into or out of a neutrino reliably, it doesn't matter how well it transmits it, it's not an information medium.
Yes, I know. That's one of the main points of the couple of paragraphs I'm writing.

In my brief thoughts about this I considered the low rate of interaction leading to Poisson shot noise, which would effectively limit Shannon capacity of the channel. And one could tie to energy needed to produce such a beam leading to an energy vs. capacity curve.
