Sorry, what I meant is no one who has ever had any experience with product would try this on Twitter. Plenty of people have tried real name policies.

I was surprised by your comment. OTOH, I was v. surprised by Google (and FB and other companies) who've tried this - I'm inclined to mostly agree with a very broad reading of your tweet, even given that Google & FB did it!

It's worked well for both Facebook and Quora. People post higher quality content when it's under their real name.

Have you ever talked to someone living in fear because they're being stalked? Or because they're scared an ex will hurt or kill them? How do you think the FB and Quora policies are working out for them? (They're not: those people can't use FB or Quora.)
