Is there any hope for a rising centrist, moderate, highly rational political movement of consequence? Small-L liberals + small-C conservatives working together. I hope so, but it looks awfully unlikely for the foreseeable future.
AFAICT, this was the trend of the 1990s and 2000s, now reversed. Not sure why.
