never played Nomic! but I used to play https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1000_Blank_White_Cards … with friends in high school and it was a real blast. lots of sub-games, meta-games, etc.

I had the same experience as Michael. Played Nomic once, was expecting it to click, but it didn't (quite). But I've always wanted to play again! Last/only game was damn near 20 years ago..... =]
