In the UK "we don't want to be married any more" isn't grounds for divorce: one of you has to claim that the other person made it impossible for the marriage to continue. If you can't convince the court of that claim, you can't get divorced. If only that were the case. My strategy in this situation would probably be to find creative ways to make it impossible for the other person to remain married to me.
