Fascinating assertion. Historically, we often hugely undervalue co-ordination technologies, which blockchain is an example of. But it's a great question.

I tried to focus on things which create economies of abundance rather than scarcity. Increased abundance = decreased coordination. For example wars (a treacherous coordinating game of honest signals) are often caused by resource shortages requiring reallocation.

In other words, one way to make coordination more efficient is to need less of it ;)
