Not what stereotype would lead us to believe: average age of successful entrepreneurs is 45. And older entrepreneurs also have increased variance in outcomes. Variance also increases with age. But empirically not the most extreme outliers. I.e., so big successes are more likely when older, but once-in-a-generation (MS, Amazon etc) are different.
