...all my current noodling keeps coming back to the idea that we build useful knowledge as we seek to move it between groups. The lossiness seems crucial so 'executability' seems a special edge case where losses are minimised.
Generality is often a bug, not a feature. In this case, I can see a tonne of benefits to executability, and few to translateability (without being more specific). So I think my original formulation is better. Of course, you may have things in mind I don’t see.
