Michelle and I send our warmest wishes to everyone celebrating Hanukkah. At a time when antisemitism is on the rise around the world, let’s remember that the light of hope will always shine brighter than hate. From my family to yours, Chag Sameach!

President Eisenhower warned of the"military industrial complex". Indeed.

There's a reason why I, personally, don't watch Fox News. That same reason is why Twitter is becoming distasteful. When my feed is forced with folks like MTG, Kyle Rittenhouse, D. Trump Jr., and even Elon Musk - I'll just go somewhere else to connect!

I'm curious about 's marketing strategy. By amplifying some voices, he turns off others. In a highly divided country, having the platform lean in any particular political direction only undercuts growth. Seems his affection for R politics trumps his desire to make money?

Surprised. Not surprised. 🙄

This MSNBC piece accuses @elonmusk of disproportionally suspending left-wing accounts (based on entirely anecdotal evidence) and then worries that politically biased suspensions "have a chilling effect on speech on the platform." msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-

It’s the filibuster or paid sick leave for railway workers. The filibuster or the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. The filibuster or a federal living wage. The filibuster or abortion rights. The filibuster or democracy. This should not be a hard choice.

Why are we ok with artificial Fed manipulation of the economy designed to slow free market wage & benefit increases but not ok with them trying to rein in an exuberance of corporate profits? It couldn't be that the system is designed to serve companies and not people could it? :/

Funny how the "invisible hand" doesn't seem to apply to wages & benefits.

Workers have every right to strike for better wages and benefits. Productivity grew 3.9x as much as pay between 1979-2021. It’s time for those profits to trickle down to the workers who generate them, don’t you think?

I strongly support ensuring that the Democratic presidential primary process reflects more of the diversity of the party than has been the case. It will lead to stronger candidates and greater voter engagement!
Abortion bans don't stop abortion — the wealthy will always have access. But bans do target the poor. Millions of low-income people will potentially be forced to give birth. Democrats must protect abortion during the lame duck session. Inaction is unacceptable.

With all of the mass shootings throughout the country, it's absolutely terrifying to imagine what 'the last straw" will be to finally move our nation to do something about gun violence.
On this Veteran's Day, I remember the first African American to command a US naval vessel. This man convinced Lincoln to admit about 185K "colored troops" into the ranks of the US military. Some suggest that the Civil War would'nt have been won without them. #RobertSmalls
