Basic one: any recommendations for where to learn the basics or what software to use? I've been learning how to model in Maya and was considering trying out animating, but not sure where the best place to start is or what program(s) are the best choice
Any of the top programs are good for animating and can help you with the basics. Look up “bouncing ball” or “ball with tail animation tutorial” on YouTube. This should get you acquainted with setting/manipulating keys and utilizing the graph editor
