Basic one: any recommendations for where to learn the basics or what software to use? I've been learning how to model in Maya and was considering trying out animating, but not sure where the best place to start is or what program(s) are the best choice
If ur already comfortable navigating around Maya I say stay with Maya. There’s also lots of free rigs for you to mess with. This Saturday @PoodleTime is streaming a free class. Also @shumface has some gumroad tutorials that are cheap and can give you an idea of what’s involved
