That does take it to a new level of realism, really nice touch
One of my favorite things about SF5 is the flourishes added to some moves when a character recovers to his/her idle.
Not only do they smooth the transition but they vary based on the strength of the attack.

And do you know if those final frames are cancellable or the moves are slower now? I'm actually curious which route they took

Yes you can interrupt/cancel the animation with a command. Timing is almost identified to 4 it seems

I agree the new flourishes feel better. But the posing in the previous game is superior. Maybe the next version will have the best of both worlds?
