I forgot which rotation orders it was but in bvhacker you could rotate the entire motion without messing up the orientation, or not, depending on the order. OptiTrack used an order that worked. A lot of trubones stuff got mangled when rotating. Just thought it was interesting.

I mean..my destination is Poser. I generally would trim and align bvh files so they are centered facing forward along z. It was a nightmare trying to edit data that was facing another direction if the order was a certain way
