The hardest concept for me to articulate to new animation students is appealing timing. I think I lack the vocabulary and I often try the "osmosis" method by just exposing them to a lot of examples I personally enjoy. CWACOM is criminally underrated.pic.twitter.com/hN5BEuZoYP

I think when students are told "it's not fluid" or "it lacks weight" they often resort to making action/sequences slower with "mushy" or "floaty" timing.pic.twitter.com/A0o6Sn9ZpS

Thanks for this insight, I have limited experience animating in Blender I can understand why it's a whole discipline all by itself I can really feel the phone weight here

This has been a 2 part learning experience for me. I finally understood what appealing timing was from watching animation and am able to recognize it in others work. The 2nd part, which I'm currently battling, is being able to incorporate that appealing timing into my own work.

Also shout out to your coworker @OhCrapItsJeremy who worked on CWACOM and gave great examples of appealing timing in his iAnimate class.

It went above and beyond in a lot of aspects, certainly blew me away as I didn't expect it to be one of my go to references for excellence in 3d animation.
