I've been quiet/busy lately but thought I would post this quick #maya #animation tip based on a suggestion by @SonnyBurge.
By default, Maya 2018 doesn't have "Persp/Graph" as a quick layout option on the left. Here's how to replace one button to get it backpic.twitter.com/AHzSE7BnqE
if you RMB (right click) a quick layout button, you can change it to any of the four circled below but "Persp/Graph" layout doesn't appear. To do that, we'll duplicate it as a new custom layoutpic.twitter.com/q7C3zJGlyq
Right click on the quick layout bar and choose "Edit Layouts". In the "Panels" menu, choose the "Layouts" tab. Scroll down the list of layouts and find "Persp/Graph". Click the "New Layout" buttonpic.twitter.com/aH8fzzGYDc
This will duplicate the "Persp/Graph" layout into a custom layout at the buttom of the list. Rename it if you like, I chose "MyFav". Now that custom layout appears and you can replace any layout button when you right clickpic.twitter.com/9LXmUTzpcb
Once you change it, the icon might be blank. right click the blank icon and choose "Change Image...". You can choose the icon you want but I think the one circled below is appropriate for "Persp/Graph".pic.twitter.com/9YYYRf4ub6
