Animators should have little animation diaries where they do studies of fundamentals and master studies. I would be super downnto maintain one.

often when i find it hard to keep up with stuff, its because im trying to do too much too fast. smaller bites = more consistency. Like, bouncing balls during lunch break is a small bite
As unpopular as it is when I find a kid who struggles I tell him to “aim low”

i agree though, aim low, bring home a few victories and boost your confidence, and slowly and naturally you will want to do harder things.
