Of course Christians know from the example of the Hebrew Midwives that sometimes we have to disobey unjust orders. It’s just that we don’t believe that our favored politicians can ever be Pharaoh.

You cannot love your neighbor while supporting or accepting systems that crush, exploit, and dehumanize them. You cannot love your neighbor while accepting less for them and their family than you do for you and your own.

Hey Twitter, I'm looking for a book to read/discuss with a group of high school girls on spiritual practices, from a progressive theological perspective. Any ideas?

It’s really wild to witness history repeat itself- watching protests being met with calls for “law and order”. The US just goes around and around in circles, while quoting MLK 🙃

It's important for newly inclusive church to acknowledge that for every queer person now welcomed and loved in our spaces there are many who were rejected, hurt and still without a spiritual home. It's painful to acknowledge, and that humility should propel us forward in grace.
