In my experience as an escort, there's been a definite feel among staff (and escorts) of sometimes wanting to get back at the anti choice protesters for their awful behaviour BECAUSE they are on the ground providing care and experiencing the harassment with the patients.
-
The emotions on the ground are raw and relentless. I've seen my fair share of patients who are absolutely willing to tell the sidewalk protesters to GTFO. But I've also seen patients who are wary, scared, and panic when they see the escorts because they don't know who we are.
