I feel like I'm going nuts reading threads on the Sea of Thieves subreddit. People are so divided on this game. I'm use to people bickering about whether or not an upcoming game will be good, but this seems to be another level of extreme love vs hate.
I think it's a No Man's Sky kind of expectations setting thing. I don't feel like SoT adequately explained (and maybe purposely!) that this is a fairly simple sandbox and systems are minimal. But IDK I only played one of the betas.

all signs point to the beta being more or less what we're going to get. plus one more quest giver, a Kraken, and Pirate Legend rep grind. We shall see! Would be nice if
@Rare came out with a clear list of features for day one to quell concerns. Either way we find out in a week. -
