The systems and general game play is rather obtuse, but it always has been. I love this game is exposing monster hunter to the uninitiated. For me it is always "why am I grinding the same monster for horns?" "OK one more hunt!"
Monster Hunter: World somehow transcends mindless grinding and I’m not sure how because it is only and totally mindless grinding. Inventories and itemization systems are bloated and distended, it’s replaying the same thing over and over and over, and somehow it’s fun.
