If there's any other way to get through character creation I have not yet and will likely never find it

Spent an hour in char customization. 
Got into intro/tutorial and didn’t like the look of him much.
Deleted, spent another hour in char customization. Ended up with a guy that looked exactly the same.
It was 1:15am.
Didn’t save, closed game.

Ideally, I should spend at least an hour playing with options in character creation before I actually settle on a look.
