OK if I want to try Star Trek Discovery, is the only streaming option the proprietary CBS thing? I just want Netflix/Prime to be enough, grrr.

Yes All Access is the only way to do it, but they give you a week free when you sign up initially, so you can hop on check out all the episodes so far and see if you want to continue (or wait til it's over and binge it all then)
And when I went to cancel it offered me another free month. You can watch it all in a week though. If you can get through it...
