Some version of this 'break up CA to create more red states" proposals pops up every few months. Even talking about it is kindof a waste of brain energy.
Yeah not sure why this one gained so much traction. Maybe press headlines did a better job of confusing people. Also if this is gerrymandering I think someone goofed. Taking SD because they took OC, taking Silicon Valley for taxes, and San Jose for... ??? That’s not a red state.
