Soup will extract even more liquid from the stuff. Your best bet will be to fry it up real quick. Make hash, basically, and put it on rolls with steak sauce etc.
I asked the cook of the house and she agreed said frying it to add back some fat is a much better idea than soup. Then adding it to, say, fried rice.
Second idea, less confident: can you just double down and make it into jerky?
Someone mentioned that but I don’t think so... I could try but I think it’d be a real weird texture.
