The abundance of "Marvel gags" and Whedon-esque quips is really my only complaint.
Levity to break up tension is fine and well, but these were just dumb prop gags. In a Marvel movie I don’t really care. But in a Star Wars movie? We didn’t want Han stepping on Jaba’s tail, and we don’t want this.

Loved the film overall, though. When it was brave enough to take itself seriously, the emotional beats landed.

Definitely stuff to like, when it’s not shooting holes in its own reason for those scenes happening at all.

Jabba's tail?. I don't know. A contrabandist trying to assert dominance on a galactic crime lord is completely different to an irritating chicken-penguin randomly screaming or an annoying ball-robot desperate for attention
