The Long Dark. No "tons of ennemies trying to slaughter you", just wolves, bears but mostly the cold, hunger and endless snow.
Is there a different classification for the ones where you can build stuff? The ‘try not to die from dissentary’ ones aren’t super compelling to me.

Although I know it’s a good one... I dunno maybe I’ll try it. Feel like what I really want is No Mans Sky with more and better gathering, crafting, and building systems. Osiris or subnautica or the dark and light one seem the most compelling.

Dark and Light has a lot of promise but last I played it was REALLY badly optimized. Been a bunch of updates since then tho. Ark currently my favorite if for no other reason than the sheer number of mods available.

Well, no real building in TLD. You can only craft gear for yourself. Tons of looting around for stuff, but when it comes to picking a base you have to chose one of the abandoned houses or cave.
