Hot take: #TheGameAwards shouldn’t be popularity votes, and allowing them to be decided by the public (who absolutely haven’t played all the games in the category they’re voting for) undermines their value.

that's kinda weird since they did specifically say during the show that it was popular vote, didn't they?
Seemed that way, or they at least really hyped up the public voting and didn’t mention at all that press outlets actually decide it.
