It should be the exact opposite of how it is now. Make a couple categories that are popularity contests. Otherwise we’re stuck in an award ceremony where category entries are chosen based on popularity parity and not necessarily who deserves what.

Upon reading their FAQ: “The winners in most categories are determined by the international jury (90%) and a public fan vote (10%)” so I guess I retract everything I said?

I'd rather see a show that simply discusses and celebrates amazing games, rather than pit them off against each other based on the whims of people who might prefer X genre over Y.
