Ah, that's pretty early adoption. Was your city quick on expanding broadband outside companies/uni?
It was unincorporated at the time and so I think it was one of the early test areas from ... lack of city government maybe?

Ah, ok. Interesting. Here gov. was a bit slow to start, but then they got behind & pushed for faster expansion of broadband.
