Thoughts on accepting invites from people you don't know on @LinkedIn? Feels disingenuous to me to add them, but seems everyone does it.

If I know them, 100%. If they seem cromulent (bizdev/recruiter types), I'll add them for a week or two and see if they do anything useful.
They can technically message without being added though, correct? Not sure cromulence needs proving.

There are some arcane rules about it unless you've got premium, iirc. And depending your settings, they get incomplete info w/o connecting.

I can't defend it strongly. But I feel like it's just giving some people the benefit of the doubt.
