Whoa. That's taking it a bit far considering IV and VI exist, but it was one of the better ones. :P
I just like saying that to be a bit antagonistic. 
I'm not a big fan of the series. Specifically the random encounter mechanic.

So XII and XV would work best for you, since they have open world monster spawning.

Yup! Combat is probably better in XV, but the Gambit system was cool too IMO. XV has other problems...
