      There just needs to be another progression system outside of Competitive, and then wall that off for groups.

      The main problem is that it's very difficult to determine individual contributions in a game like Overwatch.

      Which is 1 example of layering systems to try to fix the fact that Competitive should not allow solo queueing.

      That rarely, if ever, happens, and bonus, OW doesn't add missing players mid-match at all. Screwed either way.
