      So good! I don’t know anything about painting miniatures but I think my instinct would be to put a satin or gloss clear coat on the ‘glass.’ Is that a bad idea?

          Yup! This picture is before I varnish him, so I'll end up putting a matte coat of varnish over the whole mini, then I'll come back with a gloss varnish for the glass part. Dead on!
