Haven't been paying much attention to the internet. Are people actually mad that a company defended their copyright and tried to stop someone leaking the entire game? What is happening.

From my understanding, people are mad because company defended their product/copyright, and took down a dude that broke laws in the process of him leaking their product/information that was confidential. So, y'know, regular ol internet.

Ive watched one progameco and one antigameco, and my take on it is this... this is a slippery slope, and if it makes it to court it could set the basic precedent that only people that gameco like are allowed to publish or report on “leaks”.
