A few months ago, I watched Mother. It was beautiful, artistic, well acted, and frustratingly obtuse. I'd kept myself unaware of the themes, and my viewing suffered for it. I'd have liked it more initially if I knew the symbolism. Months later, all of my nightmares are Mother.
I'd say SPOILERZZ!Z!Z!Z but in this case, the spoiler helped greatly. And same, the baby was the moment I knew something was up and was searching for "Wait, have I missed this all along?"
i never watched the movie, mainly because i did a random focus panel for it 2 years ago and their extended early trailer was just off the wall corny. i saw about 10 minutes of the movie and it wasnt good. once it released i had no interest.
