I still enjoy April Fool’s day. Sure, the jokes aren’t all great but I like seeing how game studios flex their creativity. How you communicate a joke is more important than the joke itself.

There’s that, but some jokes still shouldn’t be made by studios. It requires knowing your audience and knowing what kind of joke wouldn’t backfire.

Well, I know some bad ones. :) Hmm, I think they have to create some new item or race or whatever the community isn’t already fixated on as a thing they love or hate. Like how ThinkGeek does it.
