(Did I really say 'Boy howdy'? Who can say? So many of my memories from this day are a blur, now. I only remember fragments....)

And then what was I going to say? It was just us 3 in the office. The rule of law dictates that when the majority of coworkers decide where to eat for lunch, that must be the place you go.

"Okay," I said. "I'll drive." We hopped into my car, and for some reason my car's nav system took us on this crazy winding route through a residential area. "Where the fuck are you taking us?" @mfschweitzer said. "I'm just following the directions!" I protested.

The car chimed as we approached, and through the houses a ramp led up to a strip mall. The Laguna Hills DMV loomed from atop the hill, cold and emotionless in the face of those who slumped outside.
