Bungie and Activision had a publishing contract, which was always temporary (it ended 2 years early, nbd). Blizzard has been a wholly owned studio since 1994. Activision Blizzard (the parent) could choose to split-off Blizzard as a new company, but... that’s highly unlikely.

I’d be curious to know what Blizzard products someone would consider to be a cash grab. I sort of (?) get the worry about a Diablo mobile game not being of quality, but it’s not out yet, so of released products.
