Yeah, this. I just--I feel like if we did a study, the correlation of people right in our group who strongly disliked BotW would be really significant :P . It's probably something like what Nathaniel said.

Definitely room for improvement in both areas, but I didn't stumble on any of it as hard as I did over simple interactions like picking up items, taking cover, or hitching my horse. Pretty much a constant struggle.

I guess. I don’t know that “hitching my horse was annoying” will be MY takeaway in 10 years. Most of those seemed like interactivity issues and bugs more so than actual “control” of the character. More flabbergasting was a seemingly total lack of concern or care to patch them.

I want to love RDR2 so much. It is a very impressive game and rich world. But it gives me a headache like I have a lot of chores to do. I do think a big part of that is controls/navigation. I wanna go back to AC Odyssey ‘cause exploring is more rewarding there.

Just beeline it through the main quests so you can say “I did it.” and then realize you’re not sure if there was an actual story in there somewhere.
