I was skeptical at first with it using a lot of pokemon go functions but after playing it for myself I actually don't mind it. Still unsure about wild encounter and capturing but everything else is great so far.
I never got into Pokemon, and I'm sure there are legit criticisms to be had, but all the reasons I've heard for why people dislike Pokemon Let's Go make me want to play it. No random encounters. No breeding. No battling to capture. Back-to-basics battle system. Sounds great!

Yeah I don’t get how they still haven’t done a big epic open world in the Pokémon universe. So obvious. Maybe that’s next!
